Since its founding in 1988, Irish Repertory Theatre has been embraced by a generous community of donors committed to supporting the works of Irish and Irish-American playwrights.  Each year, a substantial portion of our budget is comprised of the donations of over one thousand individuals and families.  The direct support of the members of our audiences and of our neighbors in the community is a true testament to the success of the work on our stages.

Irish Rep members are our most steadfast supporters and the core of our audience.  Members receive access to a unique set of benefits and experiences and every gift is instrumental to bringing the works of Irish and Irish-American playwrights vividly to life on our stages.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Some companies match gifts made by retirees and/or spouses! With a matching gift you might be able to double or even triple your contribution to The Irish Repertory Theatre.

Beginning in 2004, Irish Rep embarked on a capital funding campaign to purchase and completely renovate our beloved 22nd Street home.  The first stage of this goal was achieved in 2007 when, with substantial support from our loyal patrons, we purchased our facility.  Funds are still being raised to achieve debt-free ownership of the space and to complete the theater’s renovations and we hope that you will consider making a contribution to ensuring an indefinite place in New York City’s cultural community for The Irish Repertory Theatre.  Every gift, large or small, means the world to us!

The generous support of the businesses, corporations, and foundations that call New York City home is another integral piece of the Irish Rep’s annual budget.

Irish Repertory Theatre is grateful to the following organizations for their generous support which helps sustain our theatrical productions, arts engagement initiatives, and our new works reading series.
